Victoria Park Farmers Market
We had a great day at The Vic Park Markets in December. This awesome market is run by the Rotary
NAIDOC Week is an event of national importance for all Australians. A week borne from a day of protest, NAIDOC Week each year is an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians to come together to celebrate not only achievement but the history, rich culture, and survival of the oldest continuing living culture on the planet.
As part of The Bee Firm’s commitment to building Aboriginal cultural and historical awareness, we were invited to speak at Kennedy Baptist College during NAIDOC week in 2020. Wes Walley a proud Noongar man spent time with all of the Year Seven to Ten students sharing his experiences as an Aboriginal man. Wes spoke openly about his family, language and traditions. The students were really gifted with a personal insight into Wes’ culture and asked questions that were thought provoking and sensitive. We hope to be able to continue our relationship Kennedy Baptist College and grow our program into the future by sharing more of the Aboriginal culture and history. We were thrilled to be welcomed and to share an experience with such well mannered and respectful students.
